Course Description

T-289 - Donations Management Short Course

This one-day course outlines considerations in handling donations of goods and services in the aftermath of emergencies, such as large amounts of unsolicited donations and unsolicited volunteer. It provides a general overview and emphasizes a team approach involving government agencies, voluntary agencies, and the media. This course is recommended for participants who need basic familiarity with donations management operations. For more detailed information about organizing and carrying out a donations management program, the full-length Donations Management Course (G-288) is recommended.

Target audience: State, county, and city employees and volunteers who might be involved in donations management operations.

Note: This abbreviated version of the Donations Management Course (G-288) is only offered as Arranged Training for a group of at least 15 students.
