Course Description

G-358 - Evacuation and Re-Entry Planning

 The overall goal of this course is to provide the participant with the basic knowledge and skills needed to design and implement a local evacuation and Re-Entry Plan for their respective jurisdictions related to local emergencies. This course does not cover the potential evacuation and re-entry planning for hurricane evacuations in the State of Texas.

Target Audience:
The target audience for Evacuation and Re-Entry Planning includes persons responsible for planning, implementing and carrying out local incident evacuations. This includes, but is not limited to local and tribal government emergency program managers, emergency planners, and response personnel

How this course is offered:

Individuals can register below for class deliveries offered in Austin. A jurisdiction may request that it be conducted locally by coordinating verbally in advance with the appropriate RLO and then submit a written request to TDEM via the form here.

IS-235 Emergency Planning

Special Requirements:
To optimize participant benefit from this training, evacuation and reentry planning teams should attend the course. Additionally, participants should bring with them jurisdictional maps with overlays identifying population concentrations, special needs populations and risk areas and the Emergency Operating Plan to include the hazard and vulnerability analysis and evacuation annex and, if available, LEPC plans.
