Course Description

MAC-200 - Intermediate Multi-Agency Coordination System (IMACS)

This course is a Texas-Specific review of the roles, responsibilities, and operation of a regional Multi-Agency Coordination System (MACS).  The concepts and principles from IS-701 will be reinforced and applied across the Texas emergency management and response structures. This course will deliver exercises utilizing the participating region's resources and events. 

Course Objectives:
  • Provide an overview of the critical functions and concepts of the MACS operations
  • Provide an opportunity to apply the planning and resource coordination processes using the participant’s regional plan, maps, and resource data
  • Improve interaction and cooperation between regional jurisdictions

How this course is offered:

This course is offered in residence at the Emergency Operations Training Center in College Station, Texas.  Texas regional Councils of Government (COG) send their MACC teams to the training based on scheduling from the Governor's Division of Emergency Management.


Prerequisites & Other Information:
Attendees must be a member of Texas Regional MACC team.
