G-608 Disaster Recovery Workshop
This course introduces basic policy and programs related to the recovery process so that participants will gain a better understanding of:
• Disaster Declarations in Texas
• Individual and Public Assistance programs
• Factors that jurisdictions need to consider before requesting assistance
• The proper sequence for requests for assistance
• The Damage Assessment and Disaster Summary Outline (DSO) process for Individual Assistance and Public Assistance
• Debris management
• The long term recovery planning process
City and County emergency management personnel, local elected officials and other stakeholders in the disaster recovery process
How this course is offered:
A jurisdiction may request that this course be conducted locally by coordinating verbally in advance with their appropriate District Coordinator (DC).
Prerequisites & Other Information:
No tuition is charged.
