Course Description

G-720 - Mitigation Grants Course

This course is for personnel who create applications or manages awarded grants from implementation to closeout under the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grants. The course covers establishing eligibility of sub-applicants and projects as well as how to apply for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) grants.

Target Audience:
Grant writers, floodplain managers, all project managers, financial staff, and state and local officials with responsibility for developing, implementing, or maintaining mitigation projects.

How this course is offered:
This is presented by state mitigation staff as a two day work shop with student materials provided. The location of the class is identified in each scheduled offering.
