ENV - 501 - Hazardous Materials Instructor

Course Descprition
The Hazardous Materials Instructor course is designed for personnel interested in teaching employees who ship and receive hazardous materials as addressed in 49 CFR 172 Sub part H. Course participants learn principles of adult education and effective instructional design. Additionally, the training will assist hazmat employers in developing a systematic program to ensure hazmat employees are able to recognize and identify hazardous materials and are knowledgeable of emergency response information, self-protection measures, and accident prevention methods and procedures.

Prerequisite
There are no prerequisites for this course.

Requirements
In order to fully participate in all classroom exercises and practice teaching assignments participants will need a personal computer.

Recommended
Participants should have a basic understanding of hazardous material regulations.
