The student will accurately use navigation tools and maps to identify location, use programmable radios and narrowband radios, demonstrate the ability to use fireline reference tools to facilitate the
communication and decision making processes, describe the size up elements in a wildland fire situation. Demonstrate the ability to apply the standard operating procedures found in the
Incident Response Pocket Guide (PMS 461) and demonstrate the ability to apply information found in the Fireline Handbook (PMS 410)
This is an 8 hour class, FF1-G131. Please pay particular attention to which date you register for as we are having a different class 3 days in a row.
This is not a free class however due to the large class size the tuition is only $2.22 (not a typ-o). Each person will need to send a check made to N.E.F.D.A in the amount of $2.22. Students will need to bring their own Fireline Handbook (FHB) and Incident Response Pocket Guide (IRPG). This is a non-refunable fee. Registered students that are not able to attend are encouraged to send a different member as a replacement. Mail checks to:
